    After being inundated with negative political ads, I have decided that unless there is a device out there that will record shows I like without any commercials, I have to turn the TV off and leave it off until after the election in November.....

    I got rid of the whole cable thing a few months ago. I have netflix on my DVD player and thats all I need. I don't even use that really all that often. Mostly just hunting DVDs if anything.

    They make these DVR things that allow you to record a show and then skip the commercial on playback....craziest things ever.

    I believe one is the "Hopper" or as they say in the commercial, the "Hoppah" from Dish Network. It's got a lot of channels and advertisers up in arms last I heard.

    My post was more directed at mentioning a specific model that really skipped commercials with a touch of a button and steered towards the fact that there was a lot of blow-back from the folks who depend on those commercials. Still, you never know about those guys from Wisconsin. :)
