Well I stepped up... after nearly 35 bow seasons behind me, reading posts here and it's predecessor HNI (mod/admin) since 98' and only wearing the belt attached to the tree, I finally bought a full body harness... I decided and got the Tree Spider for both myself and my girlfriend... I climb poles for a living, been in trees since I've been 12, nearly 35 seasons now and never once felt uncomfortable, even took many naps 25' up... I'm not afraid to come out of a tree and die, threaten me with heaven but I am afraid of coming out of a tree and never walking again.... so I stepped up... I hope everyone else does the same. Good job. That's a nice harness and honestly I'm sure we have all wasted more money on less important hunting items.
Good move! I got that same harness brand new for $58 bucks on ebay a few weeks ago. I love it so far. It's extremely comfortable and the tether is a good length to give you a lot of freedom in the stand.
Rob im glad to hear that. Im on the same page with you. Im not afraid to die its the not dying that bothers me. This year I spent my fall hunting budget on HSS life lines. I bought one for every stand on my farm. Now I shouldnt have any problems.
Glad to hear it buddy! Good to know you will have years of loud, obnoxious snoring ahead of you! Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
Just told my girl that you were the unfortunate soul that slept beside me after a 14 hour drive to IL... good news, she said I rarely do that anymore. I hope this finds you well.
Ya your snoring and no deer for any of us that weekend. Definition of life in hell! Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
I got a new harness last year with the climbing belt. Can't believe I struggled cor so long putting up stands without it.
I'm joining you, getting a harness this year myself. I have a beautiful daughter now, and would never want her dad to be paralyzed or worse, because he thumbed his nose at wearing a $99 harness. I have a lot more to think about than just myself these days...
I went full body with lifeline for climbing 4 years ago after 43 years of go freestyle. Sure beats blowing on a straw to get down the hallway.
We must be about the same age. I never wore one before either. You just talked me into going out and buying one today. No more excuses. I've been lucky for the last 30 some years but everybody's luck runs out sooner or later!
Great move! I have had that harness for 3 seasons and along with the lifelines, i'm very confident when I hunt.
