This past weekend I had my 1500g Alphaburleys sitting on the back porch of our cabin in Arkansas. I got up in the morning, got dressed and went to put them on. One of them was missing. Just one, mind you.

We can only assume that a dog carried one off. We looked everywhere but it's just gone.

I've been looking at other cold weather boots and I'm leaning towards non-rubber choices but I'm not familiar with any of the brands.

I'm a firm believer in the old saying "buy nice or buy twice" so I'm not too worried about price. Do any of you have suggestions on who makes a really good colder weather boot? I don't need something like you guys in Canada would need, but I am admittedly a cold-weather wuss and my feet always get cold.

The 2000 gr thinsulate lacrosse pack boots keep my feet nice and toasty.

2000 grams? Those have to be huge. I know the 1500 gram Alphaburleys were pretty large.

Do you think the size of a 2000g thinsulate boot would cause problems with the Summit climber stirrups?

If your burlys worked they should he fine. I don't use climbers so I really can't comment past that.

But they are a pretty good size boot.

Yep, I had actually looked at these before. I wear a size 10 but wanted a size 11 to allow for a thick wool sock and a little breathing room.

The website you listed as well as Amazon skips size 11 and goes from 10 to 12. I wonder if they just don't make a size 11. Hmmm.

    Thanks, tfox.

Also, everyone else... nevermind. I just stumbled across Matt's thread asking the same thing and there are a lot of good suggestions there.

Little chief, with the bowhunting.com doing the lifetime membership to eders.com and bowhuntingoutlet.com you can find some really good boots with a GREAT discount. Like 25% off $160 boots.
