    I feel like I should note that, for many of us, there are local fundraisers for St. Jude's, to which we contribute. There is also a yearly fundraiser for the neonatal facility at one of our local hospitals where I and my babies were born. We contribute to that too. So it's not as though we don't care.

    Chief, I don't know about you but a week does not go by without somebody contacting me about donating, or sponsoring and fundraising for some cause. It gets to be too much at times.

    The post was not about fundraising. He lost a friend. That was the point of this thread.

    I did read your post and was touched. I give monthly to St. Jude's and have for years. Glad you support them as well in a very personal way.
