I think miss it. It's a lazy way to say "cool post" without having to go through the arduous task of typing "cool post".

Agreed. I think I remember something along the lines of not wanting to turn this place into a facebook like atmosphere. Looks like that's what everyone wanted all along:D Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4.
Sorry guys, there's not a whole lot that we can do about it. The plugin that controls the Like button is half broken and never quite worked correctly from Day 1. We tried to contact the people who made it only to find out they're out of business. So with no support for this version or any future versions if and when we upgrade the forum software we decided to turn it off completely. I "could" turn it back on but it would still be broken, and eventually when the next version of VBulletin comes out and we upgrade, chances are we'd have to disable it them since it would no longer work. Turning it back on would only delay the inevitable. Breaking up is hard to do.
But when you break up you move on and find someone better or it this case something better, Right? So there must be another like button out there that will fit our needs.
