The Minnesota early youth gun season opens up on Thursday. I dont know who is more excited me or my son. He has been doing a lot of work helping out with scouting, checking trail cameras and freshing mineral sites and I am going to do every thing I can to put him on a good deer. Today he comes in from playing with the neighbor kids and says to me...I told my friends that I am going to try and shoot a bigger buck than last year and they all want to watch the footage when we get home Sunday night. Looks like I have my work cut out forme this weekend and I have to try and get him in front of something bigger than this.
Good luck with that! Thats already a big deer so putting him on one bigger will not be a easy task. Good luck to the both of you
Well best of luck to you and your son!!! I have 2 sons neither of which are old enough to handle a gun yet but I started bringing them last year to the stand and let them watch the deer and both of them are ready for our gun season to open so they can go, they're not to happy when they have to stay home when I go Bowhunting. Cant wait for them to be old enough to take there first animal just hope there 1st turns out as good as your sons! Happy Hunting

Its great when our kids think that Dad can do anything. It's even better when they still hug you when you don't. Or maybe that's just because I have girls.
