That was pretty fast free shipping.
    It’s like Christmas in July.

I have them set up and ready to put out tomorrow. I wanted to set them to upload the pics as soon as they’re taken but I found out that if you have that setting chosen it’s an automatic delay of up to 2 minutes between pics because the PIR sensor has to shut down while the camera logs in and transmits.

I don’t think I want a delay that long between pics.

You can change the delay under settings.

I put the two Tactacams out along with my three Stealthcams at about 1:30 this afternoon.

It didn’t take long to get a deer pic. It’s nice to know I don’t have to go down the hill to see what’s moving down there.

I put the Stealthcams at the top of the hill where I can get to them on my bike so I don’t have to track the area up.

Okay, maybe I need to change the settings.

I got around 200 doe pics last night. As soon as I went to bed my phone would light up, go dark, light up, go dark. I ended up throwing a shirt over it.

I either need to log out of the app every night or change the cameras settings to transmit pics twice daily.

You can still Have the pics sent at each detection, but you have to turn off notifications, it should be in the settings on the app.

That’s right. I forgot about that. It’s actually in the phone settings. Scroll down to Tactacam Reveal and you have the option to turn off sounds and badges. I had already turned off sounds because I couldn’t even have a conversation with my wife without getting interrupted.

I did request one HD pic and one HD video of a young buck with 1” spikes just to see what the pic/video quality was like. I was impressed.

It’s definitely a game changer for scouting, has saved me a lot of time and money going back and forth to Ohio to check cams.

Also drive you crazy...I had over 6000 pictures on one camera last week, average 4000 plus. No way I could deal with getting notifications every time a deer walks thru. Camera is on feeder.

I have push notifications enabled and have sound notifications off. Basically just scroll through them in the app when I wake up (I can't take the suspense that a giant may have shown up while I was sleeping).

So whats your overall impression on the Camera?
I was looking at these to. I picked up the 2 Spypoint Link-Micro and I'm very dissapointed in them. after 3 months of use the camera constanatly will stop communicating, and the only way to get them back connected is to physically turn them off/on. (4.5 hr road trp) One Camera worked for 1 day and stopped, the other one 8 days and stopped. Not to mention Customer Service is no help.

I’ve only had them out for three days so I can’t speak to dependability over time of course.

I can say that based on my short experience with them they’re fantastic. The picture quality is good even on the thumbnails. If you request an HD pic or video the quality is fantastic.

I’ve only had one false trigger even though it’s been very hot and sunny. That’s probably because I read reviews that said to turn the sensitivity down to 5 to avoid that issue, but I left mine set on 6.

I haven’t had to contact customer service, but the reviews I read said they were good. One of the main reasons I didn’t get Spypoint was the negative reviews I saw, especially with customer service.

So far the Tactacams are fantastic.
