Agree 1000% but your neighbors just might like them. So, you might need to be covert for a time. No sense pissing them off immediately. Let them get to know the softie grandpa Sota first. Lull them into a false sense of happiness that they don't have a d bag new neighbor. "What? Me? Kill chipmunks? No way" LOL
These are rural people I think they will understand but yes covertly is best. Kinda how I don't ask him why he is weed free around his dock and I never see him raking.
I think I could organize a chipmunk tournament. My inlaws are coming up for the week today I am very willing to go spend hours outside over the peanut pile.
Well things have progressed very nicely the wife has taken an active role and we are 6 chipmunks down. Just got a text.... 1 red squirrel down.
This is similar to “rolling log” mouse trap. very effective. made one like this and caught 5 mice in a night. Good thing is no resetting the trap. Check out Sean Woods mousetrap Monday’s on youtube. Also addicted to Joseph Carter minkenry videos. He uses minks and dogs to eradicate rats.
Pretty sure you'll need some of that Carl Spackler hybrid Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia cross before you start making c4 chipmunks.
Well I do have to say the local population of chipmunks, red squirrels, and large mice has provided little resistance to the trapping technique. Body count in the high teens on munks, close to 6 red squirrels as well as mega outdoor mice. also have a gamo snipe the neighbor applauded.
Sunday bloody Sunday. Was having a cup of coffee this morning watched a blue jay run off a cardinal from the feeder. Blue jay thought he would take a few peanuts out of the squirrel trap, snap bye bye blue jay. Then about 10 my son gets up and there is a red squirrel, take him, then it was my son inlaws turn he took another, then my daughter was not going to be left out, took another. Everybody left and I am outside and a little red devil thought he would chirp at me, wrong answer took that one out. All and all a good day of culling some of the biggest pricks in the animal kingdom.
