I checked my trailcam last weekend and I had almost 23 pictures of coyotes and 2 pictures of small does.It appears my hunting spot is being over taken this year. The camera has only been up a couple of weeks and usually has tons of deer pictures by now.I had my camera in the same location last year and I got maybe 10 pictures of yotes all season and 100s of deer pics.Im going to try and hunt them this Sunday and Monday hopefully.Im going to try and hunt over some old deer meat I have in freezer and see what happens.

Time to get out there and do a little calling! Its sure is good fun! Looks like yo have a couple big ones there as well! I would get a distress call and a howler, the lil dog by Primos/randy anderson, great calls and an very informative DVD that comes with! I love calling in the Coyotes! I killed 3 last week up at the cabin!

yup, I'd get out there asap & git rid of those damn things. I'd say they would definitely have in impact if there are that many there. Good luck. Do you need a license to hunt them down in ILL?

Just get out there and make a fawn in distress calls, make it sound like a crying baby, and they will come a running in!

I'm pretty sure that u need a small game license in wi to hunt yotes. If you want some help getting rid them, let me know. Don't worry, I ain't lookn to get in on any huntn land. It's better to hunt them when it's cooler out, the pelts are better & will bring you better $$.

Thats what I was thinking, they are probably showing their pups how to hunt! The one is a pretty big! That Fawn in distress call is a real gem this time of year!

Gun hunting them you need a small game if going after them with a Bow, your archery license covers it!

Would you just use calls or would you bait also?

I would just use calls this time of year, like I said a fawn in distress will have them come running in! The 3 I killed 2 weeks ago came right in to the calls looking for the fawn, I mean right to me. Killed all 3 within 40 yards! I have never baited for Coyotes, I have to much fun calling them!

how about setting up wire snares there? they seem to like that one spot to keep setting off the camera.

Better check the regs, not legal to trap then until Oct. 25 - Feb. 15. Open season on hunting them!

I didn't think they responded to calls until it was colder. You may want to look into some trapping over the winter months. I've hunted them and it is a blast.
