My step brother died from cancer at 37. He was first diagnosed in his early 20's. Cancer is horrible, horrible disease. The double mastectomy is radical step but since cancer has such nasty tendency to return, it's a good choice. I'm guilty of not doing the self exams and the last time I saw a 'lady parts' doctor was well over 20 years ago. I'll go play with my boobs now on your sisters advice.... but you can't make me go back to the gyny.
my prayers and thoughts are with your sister and family...even on the toughest days, YOU be the rock for her and stay positive!! glad it was caught early enough...
Glad to hear she just didn't ignore it, because she's so young. My wife made our daughter go have a spot checked on her forehead 2 years ago, and thankfully she did. It was melanoma, but it was caught early enough. She was 24 at the time. She has to get checked every 4 months now, and so far all has been well. I pray all goes well with your sister.
Prayers for her and your family!! Thank you for posting this, it's a good reminder for us to pass on to our wives and family.
Glad they caught it early. My Mother and Wife are survivors of Cervical and Uterine Cancer but we recently lost the wife's father to Lung, Liver, Pancratic and Bone Cancer because it wasn't caught soon enough. She is young and taking the right steps, prayers to her and the family for a speedy recovery.
