I HATE these twits...

... that think they have to reinvent our National Anthem. Why can't they sing it the way it was written. It's beautiful.... it's world renowed. Everyone knows it.... and they continue to select some twit usually that feels it's her stage and to hell with the National Anthem. If I were there I'd just BOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo them to the point you couldn't hear them. It's OUR National Anthem.... not your personnal stage to do whatever in the hell you want. I wish just once some dude in the booth would unplug their microphone.

 

I know exactly how you feel. Me and my old man were just talking about that when she was singing. All those ups and downs and singing like a chronic smoker just kill the performance.

 

I would never boo during the national anthem but I agree, I wish singers wouldn't try to be so 'creative' with it.

 

They should have just let that chick from Glee sing it. Christina can just smile and wave.

 

Agreed. Just sing it the way it was originally designed to be sung. The sooner they realize their rendition isn't going to be earth shattering the better.

 

not to mention the fact that she messed up the lyrics!!!!! and didnt even realize it! very sad

 

Pretty sad that a 6th grader at my sons basketball game yesterday did a better job with it. She absolutely nailed it.

Agreed. As soon as they announced who was going to sing it, I knew it would be terrible.

i don't know what the problem is with these idiots, every single one of these "artists" try to over sing the song, never mind blowing the words...
