Almost 1 YEAR (literally three days apart) to the day from when I got hit with it last year, I got it again yesterday. With a flu shot this year as well That is all:D
MGH Stomach flu=I WANT TO KILL myself. Sorry man, just 3 weeks ago my entire family went through some stomach thing were all my children were projectile vomiting in their beds and on the carpet. Man I can't tell you how much fun I had dealing with that mess! Cheer up, put your feet up, and just relax on the toilet.
That "FLU" shot doesn't work for the "Stomach Flu" thing, it's for the Respiratory Flu. :D Just an FYI, and having worked in healthcare over 15yrs, I've NEVER gotten a "FLU" shot, and I've only ONCE ever had the "FLU." The stomach thing is one of those little things that we don't quite have a "shot" for except maybe a double of Pepto...... Make sure you stay hydrated, eat bland foods when you can keep 'em down, and ride it out. I've had food poisoning about 10 times in my life, I'll take a little stomache flu over food poisoning anyday!!! And what you may have gotten could be a little food poisoning....... My Mother-in-law and I both got it in August 2008, she spent 5 days in the hospital, I ended up losing 20#, then from not eating got a gall bladder obstruction, turned YELLOW from the liver starting to shut-down, and had to have a couple of surgical procedures!!!!
I think everyone who lives within a three-hour radius of Cape Girardeau, MO should immediately go to their local hospital and request a flu test... just to make sure you're ok. Probably wouldn't hurt to go back a week or two later and take another test... :p
Wimps..... try being 66 with 2 broken ribs. I'm hurtin I tell ya. LOL On top of that... I used my last happy pill last night.
