a few months if that hell if you got to put $10bucks in a replacement brush every few months you might as well buy the rest you wanted from the get go. iwish i had of
i had an trophy ridge dropaway rest. didnt really like it so i got the NAP Apache. this thing rocks. almost 360 degree containment, lined in rudder so it reduces vibration and if the arrow would fall out of the v it wouldnt make a sound. super quiet. eazy tooless adjustments. and i got mine for $47 from a shop in wisconsin. best rest ive ever owned.
After seeing the apache rest I am wishing I got that instead of my trophy taker. It's the same price I paid and same design, just the cheap version I got doesn't have the rubber around the containment ring for noise. I also like the little green accents.
I have used both the Vital Gear Kaz-Away Rest for the past few years with no issues. I recently put the Ripcord on my Mathews and have no issues with either. I tend to buy a couple bows a year and those have been my choices.
Whisker Biscuit all the way! I have yet to find a better hunting rest. I've had zero issues with my vanes, zero. The proper hole size is key, it's a must for the WB. Once you have it set you can forget about it. I've been using them since they first came out and now have the new style aluminum housing...IMHO they improved an already great rest! If you want simple, reliable and accurate, look no further.....
I used a Hostage Pro all last year and had no issues with bristle wear. I had the old red ones. I did change them before this year, but haven't shot that bow much. I put a Vital Gear Kazaway on my Destroyer and have had no issues, I like it! i would take a Hostage Pro over a Biscuit anyday. I see guys coming in all the time for re-fletches and 90% of the time they are using a whisker biscuit. Can't say that is cheaper than brushes on a Hostage Pro.
