Apparently fire science doesn't require any English classes? I hope you don't ether kids, that could get you in trouble!
Lastnight was very uneventful. Had homemade enchiladas drank a few beers, snacked on summer sausage and watched a movie. Only had a few friends stop by while their wives and kids were at a trunk or treat (kinda sounds like a kid nappers dream). My next holiday pet peeve will be starting real soon. Christmas music and decorations everywhere you look before Thanksgiving is even here.
So many of you seem to be missing the fact that its the one time of year that scaring the hell out of children and making them run away crying is perfectly acceptable and even celebrated. If you do an exemplary job of it you will be the talk of the town and looked upon as a celebrity for the whole year until the opportunity arises to out do your previous years showing. Pre planing is the key to pants pissing fright, keep that in mind for next years night of fright!
My neighbor sat a bucket of candy on a table in his front yard. He cut a hole in the bottom, and hid underneath the table with a tablecloth. When the kids would reach in, he would grab their hands. It was awesome. Last year he would come running around the house blasting a chain saw. He is awesome.
Another year... zero trick or treaters. I can't wait for the Christmas music to start. I love driving to my hunting spot and 'singing' along to the festive tunes at 3am. :D
I love Christmas and Christmas music but only on Christmas Eve and Christmas day while i'm doing my shopping. Wal Mart already has Christmas crap out and I saw neighbors putting up Christmas lights already. Geeze just do what must people around here do and leave them up year round.
Agreed on the pumpkin beers. There's a NY brewery called Southern Tier, their "Pumking" makes me believe monks have a temple somewhere out in western NY and have been cranking this stuff out for thousands of years. To me, it tastes like the perfect pumpkin beer. I often fantasize about using it for cereal in the morning, and sleeping on a water bed filled with it.
Pumpking is probably my 2nd favorite pumpkin beer I've had, only behind the St. Arnold Pumpkinator. I love Southern Tier. Hard to get down here though.
There is a bar in town that is "cowboy themed". Alot of cowboys show up there. There are no ranches in Northeast Ohio. I have a running theme where i dress up as the person i hate the most every year for Halloween.
Another key to a great scare fest is great back ground music, this is a good place to start. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSM7voOCkU0&feature=related
I about **** when I didn't see a single Busch Light can in the first picture.......and then I scrolled down.
