Well it finally happened, I have to move my deer to the basement. I found out my wife and I are expecting our first child in June so my hunting room ustairs is going to be the babies new room. I tried explaining the mounts should stay so the baby could look up at them but the wife nixed that idea. I figured I'd build a work bench and just make a man cave/ hunting room while im at it. So far I have the bench made and a few mounts up but I have all winter. After this season is over I'll have more time to mess around down there.

The plan is to finish it off eventually. This new development will push that back a couple years now. At least the in floor heat is hooked up! Lol

Congrats. Those young-ins can sure change things in a hurry can't they. Good time of year to add an addition to the family. Plenty of time to spend with them before the next season.

Nice man, congrats! Keep eye out for old sheds/barns being torn down. Grab that stuff and do the walls and ceiling with it...turns out amazing and can be had cheap!

Free then! :) If I lived closer I'd be beggin for some! Eventually I'm gonna build a small generator/solar powered shack/cabin (think shed with sleeping loft) and gonna do the entire inside this way. :tu:

Congrats on that news! Definitely an excellent reason to be moving the mounts.

We moved my mounts, lot of ducks, upstairs when our second daughter was born. Then both wanted to move up there so they could see all the ducks and deer! Ha ha. So my girls each have 4 or so ducks and a deer in their room!

    Have fun on the journey!

Oh another note you can only go to the well so many times before it happens, I tell any soon to be parent to take time to enjoy, believe me it will not always be easy and you will make sacrifices but the kids grow up so fast and you will miss it when they are grown.
