http://news.yahoo.com/yorks-assault-weapon-registration-begin-070029231.html Now, let's see how many gangbangers and criminals rush in to register their weapons.
Come on now. Every single one of them will! Seeing as how they live with such high moral standards and respect for the laws.
Sickening, hopefully they can get this halted ASAP. All owners should wait until the 1/15/14 deadline to do any such registration because guaranteed when they reverse this in the higher courts(hopefully) they will not destroy any such registrations already submitted. Flood them in the 15th and make it a complete overload for them.
To be honest I never thought I would see the day that this country would come to this. There is something bigger going on behind hide this butchering of the second amendment. It looks like the communist I mean democrats have the majority and now I'm scared.
If we did not currently have a Republican governor our legislature would surely try and pass at the minimum extreme measures such as these. I wish the New Yorkers the best at overturning these abhorrent regulations.
If the state of New York wants to know who all has assault weapons, why don't they just ask the ATF to provide that info. They have all the info for the past decade or so (unless it was bought from a private party).
In related news while NY passes laws that essentially criminalize legal gun owners and are confiscating weapons after obtaining folks medical histories, the same laws exempt the police from losing their cards and weapons. Sounds reasonable right: http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york...ler-brooklyn-killing-police-article-1.1316832
My poor father, now in his late 80's is a veteran of 2 foreign wars is beside himself watching what has become of this country. Thanks to him, I grew up around firearms and hunting eventually migrating to bowhunting. I guess I could say quite a few more things but they would be deemed politically incorrect. As much as I had to say it, I think the battle against the libtards is one that will be hard to win in the long run.
