I got tired of canning, so...

I built a tower blind today. Finished and went to get chair...pull out on road and there are 30 turkey crossing right where blind is. I drop off chair quick . Drive up hill and go to check news and what's in new plot behind the house. 16 turkey. I'll do two posts for pics. Here are the turkey..

 

Now for the short tower blind. It has no roof for this year. It's all scavenged material save nails and the sides. Though that was suppose to be a new Gator cover then hubby went out and bought a cover. Same water proof material that I use for blind "caps". Legs are 6x6 and rails 2 x 6. I can't tell you how heavy that was getting ends into place. . .this drives hubby crazy. Some woman collect shoes ...I build blind...

Which I just watched a doe hang out and a hen and 9 poults just walk under from a ladder stand.

 

Speaking of canning no apple butter this year, kinda sucks.

 

Geez....jams and fruit butters were a no go for me...I'm very good about the things I can't have but cook for the family...though I have my limits
