I don't know if it's worth going back in the morning... I was getting down, I could still see, but I figured by the time I got down it would be to dark to shoot... well, I lowered my bow, got my things together Slipped my foot into my climber loops, and it sounds like a herd of elephants are running through the woods, I thought, Hey, I might can get a shot at one of these....

By the time I'm ready to draw my bow(which nevered happened) I had more than 4 does on me, I know there were more, but this was all I could see, I clipped my release onto my loop and waited for the lead doe at 10yrds to take a couple more steps... Never happened, she pinned me and they snorted and carried on for atleast 15 minutes, they all never would leave the area completely, some did,but I know of one that was still about 70yrds out snorting while I was climbing down... (pitch black by this time)

What now? Move my stand? I plan on hunting in the morning where the stand is, I doubt I'll see anything, my next evening hunt won't be until Wed... so what would your game plan be?

I wouldn't worry about moving. If you did, do you already have another spot picked out or would you be going in blind, picking a tree, and hoping for good shooting lanes, etc?

I've spooked deer and had them come back the verty same day. Sometimes I think they just forget. :D

yup..i have had this happen to me a few times..it kinda freak me out ...walking out of the woods, and i was watching these does about 50 yards away from me...down wind....they smelt me and started snorting..which ok its dead of night..quite..these were loud snorts...freak me out a little...and i nocked an arrow..got nervous...the woods can sometimes play games with you ....either going in the morning by yourself or walking along way at night in the woods...like something is always around you....ha

I absolutly hate when that happens  I usually move out for awhile and give it a rest.

Go back in, just be very stealthy on stand. i got busted Sat. morning and the same deer came back Sat afternoon and I've taken 2 deer out of the group so far this season. If you don't see anything in the AM move the stand further back into the woods where they came from maybe they'll hit you with more shooting light. It's weird they'll usually send the fawns in first and when the coast is clear Mama will come on in. I have no issue with separating the herd this far along so Mama is fair game.

Amen, deer busting you is not a big deal. I had a little buck bust me stalking in the corn. He snorted and ran off. When I got to the end of the field he was there, eating in my plot with out a care in the world.

Getting busted is a part of deer hunting, deer know it's going to happen. Go back and hunt and I bet you see them again.

Not saying every scenario is the same, but I've been unfortunate enough to bust two sets of deer in my food plot this season from the same stand. I gave it some rest (both out of necessity and wind), and they're back to normal. I've never hunted the very next day. If the wind is right, and it's your only option, give it a try. Is this a doe-only area for now, or are you planning on hunting this at all later in the season once the rut kicks in?

I wouldn't worry about it. If I remember correctly, both Gri22ly and Shed have killed bucks after earlier busting them out.

    Get after it.

I hunted in a swirling wind this past Saturday morning (our opener) I was in a tree with my nephew(double the human scent) and a doe busted us when the wind drove our scent down in to her snoot. It will be interesting to see if every time she comes through that area she looks up to try and find us.
There was a bowhunter from Maryland that had written a book and his belief that was that if a deer made you in a stand you had better kill it because they would screw up any future hunts. That always intrigued me.

It seems everytime I scare deer getting into my stand whether it be from them winding me or just noise from crunching leaves, I connect on a shot later in the hunt. Deer get bumped and scared all the time. Get back in there.

You will be fine if you leave your stand their the environment changes all the time on the deer so one night of a little spook wont bother them.
