I found my first shed of the season 01-01-2012

Since we had 25 mph to 50 mph wind gusts yesterday... sitting in a tree was out of the question. I decided to do the next best thing and go Shed hunting. I was not really planning on finding any sheds yet but maybe a few dead heads or a shed I may have overlooked last season. Within 10 minutes of searching I found one hanging in a small bush in a huge bedding area. The shed is from last season and the only thing that saved this shed from the rodents was it being stuck in the bush. After another 4 hours of searching I found nothing accept 2 doe carcasses. I kicked up 2 bucks and they had both antlers still attached.

    You bastard. :)

I took the dog for a walk yesterday in a nearby field and was in shed hunt mode...no luck though.

Congrats on your first shed of the year even if it is an old one. We have found a few hangers over the years. Pretty neat !!
