Congratulations! Keep a thread going of the updates you do, I love those. Habitat manipulation is a blast, so have fun with it.

I recently completed a job interview that would set me up to buy our family farm solely when it is needed if lucky enough to get the job (although I won't be hunting much for the next 2-3 years). My imagination runs wild on what I could do with full range of that place.

I will do my best to keep this updated, or just start a new thread on it once I get started. My younger brother and I have done some habitat work on another 50 acre piece that my dad owns. We have seen good results with it so far. Even though the neighbors continue to shoot small bucks, there are so many other bucks that slip through the cracks and are turning into some very nice deer. I was very surprised at the amount of bucks that we have on camera so far after gun season. Some of them are very nice.

Hopefully we will be heading to the new property this weekend to get a feel for the place and assess what it needs and walk the boundaries. My little brother and I have already been discussing placement of new food plots and bedding areas so that we set up to hunt them on some north and west winds. The way that this property lays, we may very well be able to set up some bedding on the west side and food plots directly east of it to take advantage of 3 different winds. To the east is a pasture so I highly doubt any deer would be coming from that direction. Just some things to think about for now. I'll keep things updated.
