I know nothing about bows or bowhunting. I am live in western washington, and due to some mistakes I made in the past, I can no longer own firearms. I want to learn as much as possible about bows and necessary equipment as possible before I even start shopping. Any advice anyone can give would be gladly appreciated. I've read many of the threads asking about which bow to buy, and I understand that I will have to go get measured and shoot several before I make a decision on what "feels right", but I would like to be armed with as much knowledge as possible. Basically, I don't want to feel like a total jack-ass when I go to shop! Also, any opinions on a good archery shop new Tacoma/Lacey/Olympia area? I'm looking for a local type shop where they will spend some time with me and let me try a few bows. Thanks everyone!
