Well I wasn't in the stand but minutes when this monster appeared.

What do you think Germ, weight, score? Is he mature?

I saw my 3 legged bear and her two cubs again tonight. They were in the woods behind me and offered no photo opps.

They weren't gone long when 2 fawns, their momma doe and a spike came flying out and gone. I'm sure it's the bears that scared them.

I wonder what influence the bears are going to have on this spot.

Shortly after, PT's seven point came out under me. I could have spit on him, and walked down to meet a 6 point and then proceeded to spare. They walked off together. Another nice sit.

Rob, curious. Is this a stand that's good for a variety of winds, or do you have different stands setup around it? How often % wise do you hunt this plot during the season? I'm curious, because I'm thinking of an area I REALLY want to get into on my place, but I'm afraid of overhunting it. You don't seem to have that problem.

So the rumors are true. There are big cats roaming PA:D

He is a cull kitty and won't ever amount of much. LOL I had a half grown kitten under my stand the other night and all's it did was meow. I thought of Germs post and chuckled. While I didn't have the heart to shoot him... the thought crossed my mind after the 15 straight minutes of meow... meeeoooooowwww.... meeeeooowwww. If I would have had Germ's cell number... I would have called him up and told him to come get his cat !!! He finally shut up about 10 minutes before the does showed up thank God !! Geeze for aggrivating !!

Rob, I wouldn't worry to much about bears negatively influencing your deer hunting.

In my experience, they don't mind a bit. I've had, this year alone, 5 deer all at different times [1 nice buck I might add] walk within 15 yards of my bait site, and 30 yards from a bear.

Plenty of deer pictures on the camera I had on my bait as well...

When I got the text the little chuckle I had helped with the hunt.
That and a Greg/Mo liking my best side of the pic I had sent to him.
