NOPE! Been there already this year. Even let several does that had fawns walk. I was going to shoot one real nice doe, she had a fawn with her. She was broadside at 20 yards. I was good with it until she went up to the fawn and they started licking each other's faces for a couple minutes.

I couldn't do it. I KNOW I KNOW, the fawn is old enough, but that particular time, they both got a pass. I'm a softie.... what can I say?

Not a chance for me. My Dad and I do not have the time to process the deer we killed and with the processing fees we probably would not have even gotten enough meat from it to be worth it.

Not a chance in hell would i shoot at anything that small unless it was injured to the point I didnt think it would make it through the winter. Remember them little deer may turn into a world record.....

ha..thats if they last the entire season....if its your own land and you know you hold all those deer year in and year out....

Thats why you dont see to many older deer around here..people kill the 1.5 year old bucks and dont let them mature....

However, i will say that one mans junk is someone else gold...could be hunters first deer, hunting for meat, or what not..so i dont ask questions..

I might, Not to hijack the thread, but would it be better to shoot the mother of twins or just one of the twins.( of course the one you are shooting is not a button)

Chris, I would not have shot her either.

Unless I'm in an area that has a huge problem, I have zero desire to shoot fawns.

She would have been the most tender deer meat you'd ever eat.

Nope! I passed one Wednesday night at 5yds. No points for Team 17 again, but I don't shoot fawns. I've passed quite a few fawns this season.
