    shed hunter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it's early, but wanted to post this before I forgot so maybe something will stick in my brain come the time. I really really really suck at shed hunting. I dont' really get it. I know (for sure) different buck bedding areas. I know where they like to hang. Why oh why can I never find sheds? Not from lack of effort either. Am I shed blind or doing something wrong?

In 30 years of deer huinting I've yet to even find a shed accidently, let alone on purpose.

i know a little trick to help collect sheds. get some chicken wire and find three medium sized trees in a 90 degree angle. run the chicken wire in the inside of the three trees and then put corn or whatever food source in front of the wire. the buck will eat and his antlers will get caught and fall off. this method only works during spring and summer months though. hope this will help

Wouldn't it be better and probably cheaper to just buy some on ebay if we need to resort to chicken wire and trying to get a buck racks caught in it. ?? There is a lazy man's way of doing anything but is even beyond that. This one method I absolutely hate !!!

If tromping for shed is too tuff... get a couple small hay bales. Run them parrallel with an 6 - 8 inch gap. Put the bait inbetween the bales. With bales there is no chance of a buck getting his rack CAUGHT as he would in f-ing chicken wire. If the buck is ready to shed... the bales will gently bump them off.

If you can't find bales... just pour the bait at the base of trees. It is just to bump them off " IF " they are ready to shed... please don't use chicken wire or any wire for that matter.
