Well, the snow is finally starting to go down enough that I thought it might be a good time to bring the 3 year old boy out to a spot in the woods that he might get a chance to see what his old man does on the weekend.

With a little bit of cooperation from grandpa on some "scouting" the boy managed to "find" 4 sheds in about 50 yards......

I got a couple pictures, but the best part was showing him for the first time on how to find a deer trail, look for deer tracks, identify old and new deer poop, and not to kick apart a giant anthill like daddy (and get those mixed black/red ants in his boots)

It may be a bit of cheating but he talked about it all day long.......

Great stuff and it brings back a lot of great memories in the first few years I took Tyler out shed hunting.

Just be warned... someday you will be saying... hey son, it would be nice if you let the old man find some too!! :d Those younger eyes and legs will out run and shed hunt you into the ground. :deer:
