I currently use a 3 pin sight (green, red, yellow pins). I can see the green and yellow pins just fine, but the red pin is just an absolute blur. None are perfectly clear because I am focusing on my target, but the red one is unuseable. I had an annual eye exam today and mentioned to the doctor (who is also a bowhunter) what my problem was. He said with my near sightedness, my eyes focus on the red wavelengths at a different distance than the green and yellow which explains the bluriness. So, I either have to go with a single pin sight or see if I can find a site with all green or yellow pins which might get me mixed up at the moment of truth, but I have never seen a sight liek this. Do you know if sight manufacturers will make a custom site with all green or yellow pins if requested? It appears most sights with their wrapped fiber optics can't be switched out.

My Spot Hogg Hunter Hogg-It is custom. I ordered straight from the factory, and they were able to customize the colors for me. I also have a tough time seeing red, so I ordered a .029 green pin on top for 20 yards that I center in the pin guard, and use the gang adjustment to sight that in. I then use an orange/green/orange combo going down from there in .019 diameters. For some reason, orange shows up MUCH better than red or yellow for me in hunting conditions.

Red is the first color to "dissappear" in low light. Whenever I get a new sight I either order it in green/yellow or swap out the fiber's or pin's.

I have found that green shows up the best for me, so HHA is a perfect remedy if you want to go the single pin way.

Not an uncommon problem, I switched for a green/yellow combo.

I'm with Matt. I think I had one (Viper), once, with all green/orange.

    Yep...

i have the same deal... well not that bad. so i put my red pin between the green and yellow. 10-20-30 thank goodness that they are all spaced the same, only real prob is when i shoot indoors and then i know and can see the pin anchor and just use that. line up the yellow and green and i know that the red is in between. outdoors is fine, prob something with the fluorescent lights with me.

    hang in there!!!

You don't have to have a custom site to get those color pins. I got my Copper John site at Gander Mtn. w/ yellow and green .019 pins right off the rack.

Abandoned red a long time ago. My Viper sights have green, yellow, green, yellow, green.

Similar to what many have said, I'm not officially done with Red. My sword is Green/Orange alternating.

You can also (pretty easily) change your fibers, yourself (on most sights) to whichever color you prefer.

I guess I have never tried it, but the sight I have is a cobra with something like 4 feet of wrapped fiber, then embedded into a pin, but the red one is in the middle. Can you even change those out?
