I don't have any fields on the property but we are allowed to put out corn they haven't even touched it im use to using a rifle at 100 yrds.
I haven't seen any signs sense july but im not sure if im looking in the right places not sure about funnels and stuff
Just look for trails leading to and from food sources and bedding areas. Try going in after a hard rain and look for tracks. There are deer in there; they are just moving before you see them. Keep your head up while scouting and alternate between looking out as far as you can see and the ground.
If you want to try something new with bowhunting do some research on topography and look for shelves, benches, and funnels. Next best thing I look for is there food source and bedding area.
im not sure what to look for that's what I was asking I posted some pics if some wanted to look at them the houses on it is the property line
Is this area an old tree Farm? Try ACME Mapper 2.0 Use the NEXRAD tab you will be able to zoom way in on your area. From what I found I would sit along a bank of that river and try an situate yourself along a heavy trail leading to that field across 301.
Is the river on the property? If so, I would start there. The food seems to be prevalent but all animals need water. Get as close to the bank as possible and begin walking, you'll find a game trail eventually.
yes one side of the river is on the property its about 3 to 400 acres on the property but im on prime hunting land around here and haven't seen anything lately
Hmmm... Any access to a tractor? Maybe disc up a small area. I've noticed that the deer on my property seem to go out of the way to walk on freshly plowed earth. Just a suggestion.
I actually planted some small plots and only one of them came up and didn't die off but the dirt is kinda sandy dirt any suggestions on what to plant
I thank e1 a lot I was on a nice buck this evening but he didn't get close enough ive seen more deer today than I have seen the at one time on this land thank all yal
