I decided that I wanted to try to stay warm while not having to bulk up this year. I went to cabela's today and found these http://www.cabelas.com/product/Unde...me+cold+gear&WTz_l=Header;Search-All+Products and http://www.cabelas.com/product/Unde...me+cold+gear&WTz_l=Header;Search-All+Products I figured that they're worth a shot, and I can return them worst case. Best case, they keep me warm with 2-3 layers instead of 3-4 and being cold. I always told myself that I wouldn't spend $140 on base layers, but I broke down this year. Tomorrow is going to be pretty chilly here, and I'm hoping to sit out until at least 3, if not all day. I'll report how they're holding up while on stand tomorrow. I hope that I'm impressed! They say "anti-odor" too, so that can't hurt (though it might not help either).

I am sure that you will love them, but I gotta ask what is considered cold in MO? When you live in WI, MO is considered a warm weather southern state. haha

You should look into heated clothing as well. Up here in South Dakota it gets cold. (really cold) and I wear a Gerbing heated vest liner on top of some under armor, and under my shell layer. Very warm.

I think it's what is considered cold to me. I didn't have any insulated leg gear, and I didn't want to bulk up. It's going to be in the low 40s tomorrow. To me, sitting and not moving, is cold enough to buy something. :)
