This year I have been beaten up by uncooperative swirling winds on almost every sit. So tonight I decided to sit my plot up by my pool with the NE wind predicted. I knew half the plot I would have no issues with and the other half would be directly down wind. Well I had to try it so I sprayed my boots with Nose Jammer and when I got to my stand I sprayed the tree just like it says on the can. About 615 a doe and a fawn come out on the half of the plot that isn't an issue they fed for a while eventually moving to the far end directly down wind of me they stayed there feeding for over 20 minutes. She never even raised her nose as if she got a hint of my odor. Now I realize a doe isn't a mature buck but if this stuff even helps me a little it is worth having in my pack and I will carry a can with me for the rest of the year and continue to test. FYI I do take a no-scent shower before hitting the woods and I also wear a base layer and scent lok. I also spray down with scent killer. But I don't wear a face mask. Now you may heckle me. While I am not completely sold I am less skeptical than I was before.
Let me know how it works for ya after this weekend , I would like to see ya try some Smell Like a Deer , pm me your address and i'll have Faron send ya a bottle to try out your way . www.mastinsdeerscents.com
Would you try it without Scent-Lok? A mature doe is the test. Anything is possible...Nose Jammer might work...carbon & good housekeeping is king though! How often do you re-activate your carbon? That makes a difference. The outerlayer is more critical than internal and a mask would definetly help. Throw in dryer 30 min. I do it about 2-3 times a season. Good Luck with the test!
Season opened here on Sept 17 so I haven't thrown it in the dryer since Sept 16. The mask effects my anchor.
It was cooler today... You think thermals were in your favor? Up drafts? How windy was it up there? Here pretty windy 20-30mph gusts! Just going to take some time and different situations to draw a solid conclusion! But, people are not going to sell you something that ruins your hunt either. I'll bet it works in some area and not in others in other words, the product is natural to your area. Might not be in WV,Cal,Oregon or Oh, Canada! also, time of the year temps etc.
