Why would he stop doing what he's doing? The media is giving him more attention than he would ever get by answering their questions. Along with that, the media's questions are always the same. Stop asking the basic football questions that are asked every game.
Professional player contractually bound to make himself available to media. Stop pouting and do what you agreed to do. It was funny as heck though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
LMAO..... Looks like the NFL might get the last laugh on this... Marshawn thought he was being funny with his responses, but but apparently he forgot one little detail, "HIS HAT!" He was wearing an unapproved non NFL beastmode hat, that he sells on his website he was promoting his website and his products on an NFL stage a big no no Marshawn.. Get out the check book.....lol AT LEAST THE PROCEEDS OF THE FINE WILL GO TO CHARITY....
You can't win when it comes to the media. Answer a question they ask about the game, refs or say gay people and it can be used against you. Don't answer and you are portrayed as rebellious or asinine. I don't blame him. I would only give one word answers like the San Antonio Spurs coach does all the time.
Popovich, the Spurs coach, is hilarious. Maybe people would be less critical of Lynch if he was more funny, like Pop, with his one word responses. Either way, the media asks some pretty stupid questions and it's the same ones over and over. It's not like they're going to get some insider secret reason why a team or player played well. They have access to the stats just like every one else, every game is a 50% chance to win, and every player can play good, bad, or average on any given day - no reason needed. But, if it's in the contract, it's in the contract.
I will make this prediction at the end of his career and he is relegated to the dust bin of history he will not be talked about in the same way as, Barry Sanders, Franco Harris,OJ Simpson [great football player sorry human being] Walter Payton,Tony Dorsett, Emmitt Smith etc etc or any of the greats he will end his career as a good RB but not a great one.
These guys are football players for a reason let them do there jobs and let the colorful commentators do there's. One mix up or misspoken comment can ruin a career so the Guy clearly knows he is not good at it so leave him be.
The way it took it is he does stuff for inner city kids and he gets no press for that to help his cause, so he wont give them anything now. Its funny as heck though.
That's because that is what he will end his career as. A good not great back. I'd be surprised to see him voted into the hall. He got burned by the media in Buffalo, so he basically says screw you guys. I have zero issue with his bullish attitude towards them.
Just because you don't like the media or you think they twist your words is no reason to act like a tool,, when he signed on the dotted line to play in the NFL he became an employee of the NFL and is contractually required to represent the NFL as an ambassador of the sport. The world star hip hop culture might think this is funny because he is sticking to the man....And he may have skirted the rules for now on this by showing up for the media events and giving this joke of an interview... I do think however he will get fined for wearing unapproved gear to media day and ... As someone else said I wish I could get paid millions to play a kids game...
