After a month of looking at new bows I got the Diamond Stud. There were many reasons for this purchase. The main reason is the bow reminded me of MQ1 I had years ago and I loved that bow.

Every bow I shot was a shooter IMO, I believe I can shoot any bow well and kill a deer with it.

I like single cam bows, I like how the draw and I like the valley in them. The Hoyt Matrix almost was my pick, in the end it was the draw and feel of the DS that won me over. The fact I am going to load it up with extra's and still come in way under the base price of the matrix does not hurt either. I don't plan on running it over and then shooting it:cool:

I wanted to carry a bow from a company that was still in business. That is the reason I bought one this year, ROSS is dead and I have no where to go if I have an issue.

I will have pics up a bit later, right now I am putting on the goodies.

Hell I even bought a damn Octane Stablizer and Rest(had to order LH)

I also have the HHA 5019 coming for sight.

    Andy;)

Hey question I have the draw mod set on 3.5 for 27.5'' Draw(if I read the book correctly) I have the Draw stop in the 6 hash. Is that correct? From what I read I think I have it where I want.

I know, I know in my defense this is not my first bowtech:eek: I put a lot of thought into buying this bow. I owned the Pro 40 a few years back.

That looks so much like my Marquis other than having a cable slide rather than rollers. Looks good Germ!

Here is my list of pro's and cons

    Matrix

This is a bad ass bow, to be honest if the price was the same as the Stud, I would have bought it. It holds well from what I could tell shooting it RH. There was not enough difference in how they shot to push me up to this bow.

    MAthews Drenalin LD

It shot well, for some reason it did not hold well for me, I am not a fan of the roller slides at all.

    Sentintel FLX

This bow was doomed because of the FLX thing. I kept wanting to look at it after a shot. It made me mental, like being with a woman with 3 boobs, it's just not right and it distracts you from what you're trying to do.

CRAP! I hope nothing happens to my Black Ice now that Bowtech is going out of business. Thanks Gary!

Question...! Why does it look like your string was pushed to the other side of the slide?

Edit... I'm an idiot. Your bow was made backwards.

Well, that seals it, the Diamond line is doomed. I'd better go buy my kid that Nuclear Ice now before you can't get them anymore.;)

Congrats on the new bow. She's a beauty.

I was kinda hoping you'd get the Matrix. That would be worth a road trip to shoot one of those in lefty. They are sexy. As you said though if all things are equal, except for price, sexy only goes so far.

Congrats Germ, looks like my guess was right after all. I guess I will have to stock up on Diamonds as they are now living on borrowed time.
