Yeah this Covid crap has caused my freezer to run empty much more earlier than normal. Dove season is so close and that starts my hunting season.
SW Oklahoma should be covered in dove this year! I know I'm bagging my limit on Sandhills but I may have to go sweat it out and knock down some doves if I get the chance
Liver chicken. I like to chicken fry them and serve them over homemade biscuits with white pepper gravy. Woooooo!!! Come to Oklahoma and I'll take you dove hunting or Sandhill Crane hunting. Can't go wrong either way.
I’m hoping so! I’ve been noticing more and more along my dirt road. Hopefully we don’t catch a cold front right before season starts and run em out! I've ate Sandhills before but I’ve never got to hunt them. They look fun to hunt for sure!
Definitely come on down... I’m in east Central Oklahoma. Dove is probably my second favorite species to hunt.
There's a state sign up contest under the Whitetail deer forum. Some of you guys sign up! Looks like we need 3 more.
I chased one for two years then he disappeared. Last year I didn’t have one to chase, lots of young guys and now this year it looks like I might have 3-4 to chase depending on where they go in the next month. Pretty exciting though!
Come on you fellow okies, we need a couple more to sign up for this contest going on in the whitetail deer forum.
Well, the season is finally OPEN! Anyone have any luck yesterday? I was in the stand and saw a couple of does. Asthma issues have dictated that I stay in this morning, but I'll be back at it this afternoon chasing this guy.....
Working over in Arkansas but headed home tonight, first sit tomorrow morning! I finally hung a camera about a month ago but have yet to check it.
With only 3 sits in the woods to be had this season because work is taking her out of town for three months (she's a critical care RN and COVID contracts are to alluring to ignore), my gf got it done this past Tuesday at 8:03AM in Alfalfa County, OK. Her FIRST deer ever! Yeah...she was totally on cloud 9!
