    You are correct on both counts. They will most likely ask you to go ahead and leave but because you offered, they will pay you. It is just good business on everyone's behalf.

    Congratulations...Looking forward to see how things are going for you in 1 year. I will be very surprised if you are not 100% elated that you made the change.

    Oh to be young again. LOL Life can be an adventure. Have a good life Hook.... have a good life. My son has been through similar stuff. He was at Microsoft but kind of burned out. He went to work for McKenzie in Atlanta. Then he left and took the "Small/Growing/New" company route in Boulder area for a 6 figure raise. He realized early on that that wasn't what it was cracked up to be. So what did he do... he says he returned to the "Mother Ship".... back at Microsoft for less guaranteed money. But his annual bonus was something else. Never burn a bridge.... you might want to cross the river.
