I don't want to hijack the other thread so I wanted to recommend to any hunter who brings either hot or cold beverages from coffee to soup to the stand. The hydro flask is awesome keeps ice all day it is the Yetti of bottle coolers. Smaller than a thermos and hold 21 ounces. It doesn't sweat either.

I've never heard of Hydro Flask, but I like the concept. I may have to get one so I don't have to burn my mouth every morning trying to finish my coffee before climbing up

Good suggestion. I have the 32 oz for work. Haven't tried it with hot items but keeps ice in it all day when other bottles wouldn't last 4-5 hours.

Have you actually used it for hot stuff? I appreciate the lifetime warranty too! if you're going to pay $28 for a water bottle, it should certainly last a lifetime.

I'm certainly disgruntled with the various 'hot containers' I have... I have 1 thermos brand and a 2 Stanleys. the older Stanley I sort of expect to not last more than a few hours... and the thermos is junk too. I think it's probably 30 years old... right when they started making the all steel ones and got away from the glass liner ones that always broke so easy. it'll only keep stuff hot for a few hours.

one of the Stanleys is fairly new... maybe 4-5 years... and their performance just seems to peter out after a while... I suspect they lose their vacuum seal and once that happens, long term hot/cold performance greatly diminishes. seems their website say they have a lifetime warranty also... maybe I should try to get it replaced and see if heat retention times improve.

Stanley's website claims a new one similar to what I have is rated at >12 hours for hot stuff... mine might be warm after 12 hours... but not 'coffee hot' and that's even after pre-heating.

Kind of, but not really. The Hydro Flask looks to have a completely sealed top so nothing can leak. E.g. if you were to turn it upside down where-as the Yeti has a hole to drink out of.

I have a 40oz one that I pack in my water. I found that it contains enough to get me through a full day sit
