Phil that is. He was paired with Tiger and showed him how to win a tournament. Lefty came out firing and just took it. Good for him. Wi and Na faded. Yup, for you non golfers... those were the people who seemed destined to win it. They faded... Phil went off and took it. Hurray Phil.

Yeah Phil decided that he was going to win that tournament. What a round of golf. He looked solid as could be. I only remember 2 shots that were a little hicup. He has to have a sweet taste in his mouth beating Tiger head to head by 10 shots! Speaking of Tiger.... that dudes head is a mess still. I don't care how good his new golf swing gets. He's simply not going to be back until his noggin is right. You could actually see him melt down mentally hole by hole. His body language from one to 18 was remarkable. I'm still stunned he hit that birdie putt on 18 like he did. Total lack of focus. Doesn't matter if he was out of it. Professional golfers still approach every shot like it was the last to win the Masters. His swing appears to be good to get him to contention again, but his brain is nowhere near. Good job lefty. Great round, great win.

btw... I thought Charlie Wi showed some guts yesterday. He played to the end and showed some fight. He got off to a rocky start and nerves probably got to him. But he fought through it and played well after. That could have turned REALLY bad for him if he packed it in early.
