I just got an email from the FAA regarding fly drones near wildfires. Drones are now prohibited, as it should be, to fly in wildfire areas with a 27,500 dollar fine and criminal penalties if a drone interfere while aircraft are fighting fires.

I would love to use one while scouting in the winter for shed hunting. I feel like if you had snow you could see the trails and the beds and use that knowledge to know where to focus on, I just cant see spending 1400 on it :(

You can see the deer too. I've seen them from my airplane when we fly low.

So far there's been 4 drones over our family's farm this year that we've seen. They're cool and what not until you realize they're live streaming you working on a fence on youtube. This spring almost had one scare our cattle through a fence luckily the operator was wise enough to gain in elevation and leave once they started running. Can't wait for when i'm sitting in a stand about to pull back on a deer and a drone flys over the trees and scares everything away. I forsee it making our trespassing problem much worse as now people are able to see all the deer in our fields that are hidden from the roads. Oh the joys of hunting near suburbia. One of these days i'm gonna wear a mask, strip down to a thong and run around the field like a mad man just to see if the video goes viral.

Hahahaa I can't wait. Maybe we can stage it and split the profits.

How do you know they were live streaming to YouTube though?

Sounds like a plan count me in! I'm sure they weren't live streaming it. I didn't even know you could until I read in comment #35 that you could. Was joking a bit when I said that but they have flown over me when out in the field which I'll have to start getting used to I guess. No more cutting hay in my birthday suit.

I would be a little pissed if I had drones flying over my land on a regular basis.

Yep it's annoying but it's out of my control so no need to let it get to me.
