I hunt in Alabama and the rut usually occurs around late December -early January, so I have been struggling here to see any deer. It has been pretty hot here around the high 60s and I'm having a hard time patterning them. We hunt on a property with clear cuts and hardwood bottoms(no green fields yet, it's a new property). Is there any tips you guys could offer me? Thanks!

A scent dripper with doe in heat scent could help keep a buck in the area, even if they aren't moving much.

hunt the down wind side of the clear cuts. bucks will keep checking the cut for does that might be bedding in there.

I'm one to follow the does.
