I have hunted turkeys for a while but all while on WMA property well this year we have our own family farm that was bought in the summer and we have turkeys on camera with beards dragging the ground cause the farm was never hunted so my question is should we plant chufa but it says not to plant it until late spring early summer and by then turkey season will be over or will the scratch for the chufa seed in the ground I have only been hunting turkeys for four years so any advice would be grateful deer season didn't go so good all of my deer were nockturnal and that sucked cause we have some big boys on camera so hoping turkey season is better

Anything you want to do "planting" wise would be for next year now.

Look for scratching and run trail cameras to find out where the turkeys like to hang out and start there. Go out early and listen to where they roost and where they go after they fly down

The easiest way to kill a turkey is to be where he wants to be before he gets there

On the bright side the turkeys wont be nocturnal :)

    Good luck and have fun
