Hey guys, just joined today. Well for me at least bow hunting is only about a month away here in Missouri. It's been a hot hot summer. 100+ It's finally starting to cool off a little. Well anyway back to the topic. I have been hunting for 4 years now, technically 3 didn't hunt much last year. first year bow hunting took home 2 8 point bucks was excited. Anyway... So here is my question. I don't know how Sept 15th is going to look temperature wise. So lets say its still fairly warm. We are taking a trip for the weekend and trying to get a good idea on where I should hunt. There is a spot I hunt which has a tree line and on the left hand side of the trees is a winter wheat field, and on the right is a corn field. South of the tree line is a medium size area of trees and brush with a lot of beddings there. I took my 8 pointer in that spot i hunt he was coming to the corn field. Do you think lets say it is mild out, would I be better off hunting in the woods in the morning or near crops. Same goes with afternoon. I am always open to improve my hunting for more expierenced hunters so just trying to decide where I would might be more successful in the morning vs the afternoon. Thanks Guys.
stay near the woods in after noon because deer dont like to move around in heat ik i dont and in the morningdepending when first light starts hunt the field because the deer will feed when its cooler out!hope i helped a little bit.
