just wondering if deer still move durning the rut in the rain? the last two days i have been seeing alot of movement with the rut kicking off and now its supposed to rain the next two days. Is it worth going out sitting in the rain?

I don't think hormone-crazed bucks are affected by the weather. I'd hunt in the rain (except maybe a thunderstorm). Rain offers some advantages since you can sneak in quieter and it can help keep your scent out of the air.

Comes down to personal preference I guess.

If it's a light rain I will hunt but if its a steady rain I never hunt in it. Way to quick will a blood trail get washed away. Bucks will be cruising for sure during rain. They only want one thing and that's a hot doe.

Great way to put it!!!!! I dont care for hunting with a bow in the rain..But the deer I believe could care less. They dont know any better- just that they will be wet that day!
