My app tells me the full moon is a hot time around noon and midnight. I opted to sleep in this morning thinking it was so bloody bright last night, the deer were probably up all night and in bed early ( I was up early because of the light). Went out all afternoon to dark and saw nothing....

Bad weather coming in, heavy wind and rain for a few days then switching to snow squalls.

Any thoughts on the situation or hunting near a full moon (the kind in the sky).

There's no absolutes in deer hunting.... The moon phases may play a part in movement... but it's also the rut... anything can happen at anytime.

I saw deer first thing this morning and last thing this afternoon and nothing else … kinda goes against that theory!
