I have been given permission to hunt this property that has been used as farmland, but was left fallow this year. The weeds and grasses are literally over my head and there aren't any trees that you can set up on. Any helpful strategies for this type of hunting? There are a few creeks and places where it seems like deer are crossing, my best guess is just to blend in with the grass and hope to ambush something...

Exactly like you said. get about 5-6 feet into the grass and-cut out a small window in the grass starting at waist high, so your concealed when sitting. Make a few of these spots so you can hunt with different winds.

You could also put up or build a few ground Blinds. Just make sure to cover/blend them in well

That's the direction I would go and just attach a blind

Three legged elevated stand. In Kansas we get it done from the ground all the time.
