Although I've shot dovetail sliders on my past two bows, I'm looking at two sights right now for my next hunting rig that aren't dovetail mounts (not necessary for me on a hunting bow IMHO). The three main characteristics I'm looking for in a hunting sight are:

    Build Quality
    Brightness
    Adjustments (in field if necessary)

The Axcel Armotech-HD and Tru-Glo Micro-Brite are on top of my list right now for sights I want to try. They both seem to be getting great reviews, build quality looks top notch, and both have tooless windage and elevation.

I have used several different sights. The best Multi-pin sights I have used are Spot Hogg and Viper.

I personally prefer a single rear slider now for a couple of reasons and the HHA Optimizer is the Best I have seen.

I have five Spot Hogg Hunter Hogg Its with custom pin configurations and Hogg Wraps on all my bows. If I thought there was a better sight out there, it'd be on my bows.

I'm using a Hogg-It Hunter with custom pins like Greg's, and a wrap too. I really like it. With that said, I may try an Axcel on my backup hunting bow for 2010. I've handled the Armortech several times and am impressed with it, I also own two of the Axcel target sights and it's IMHO the best target sight on the market. Everything T.R.U. Ball I've used in the past has been top notch.

I'm shooting a Spot Hogg Real Deal with wrap... for my hunting bow I didn't feel I needed the 3rd axis adjustment. But I won't stray from Spot Hogg until something really impresses me.

Vital Gear. Brightest pins on the market - the simplest designs. Simple is king!

I have the Spot Hogg Hunter and the Axcel Armortech. Both are excellent sights but I will be slowly switching over to the Axcel.

I am using the Axcel Armortech HD on my Elite GT 500. I have the 5 pin with the.10 pins. Only thing I don't like about it is that I paid extra for the five pin sight, and with the GT 500 I only use two of the pins for hunting and that takes me out to 45 yards. I could have saved a little cash with the four pin. This sight is awesome!

I had been using the Viper MicroTune and Copper John Dead Nuts 2 Tourney on my bows but I missed the simplicity of a single pin sight. My next bow will be wearing an HHA DS5519 sight. I'm also interested in the Hogg Father and Boss Hogg, but finding one in left handed has proven futile.

I have been very pleased with my Sword Apex Micro 3rd Plane sight.... it has all the same features as most top dollar sights but costs about half as much. I am sure that the Vipers and Spot Hoggs are "better" in alot of aspects, but my Sword works flawlessly for what I want so there is just no need for me to spend more on something that is going to perform in the same manner.
