    Hey Guys,

Just wanted to take a minute to share with everyone a short film I've been working on the last several months. I've made hunting shorts in the past, but they were your typical hunting short with me trying to kill a deer. There was really no back story, story line, or theme to the video.

I wanted to do something a little bit different this year, and actually telling a story and portray a message with this year's film. Below is the result. Just a tip, to enjoy the film to it's full potential you must turn down the lights, turn up your headphones, and watch the video in full screen. That's all I ask! :)

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts and comments.

    Enjoy!

I watched it on FB. Very nice job. Lot of cool shots. I like the time lapse at night. Also when you almost fell in the water

Was this all done by you or did you have a 2nd man helping film at times?

    Great stuff Cody!

The only thing that seemed awkward to me was the shifting between black & white at the end.

    Top notch :tu:

    Couple thoughts.

You can film/edit a hell of a lot better hen JZ.

Virginia is more beautiful then Illinois.

You have alot more patience then I do.

My equipment is junk compared to yours.

I would like to see more videos in the future.

Awesome work, Cody! I feel embarrassed to even ask or give a recommendation, since I'm not producing this type or level of work.

The fade ins where you shoot a scene, then bring in yourself, especially in the creek scene, there's an awkward jump where the camera position must have changed so continuity was a little off.

Do you have a timer/motion control dolly for your panning time lapse?

    Again, really awesome work.

Excellent video! Thanks for sharing. I thought I got some nice video to edit in with a kill shot this year, but... I must have been wrong. 1- my scenery was nothing compared to what you have here. 2- no kill shot on video :(

Loved every second of it. Yeah I'm sure you got some amazing equipment, but your mindset, photo decisions and editing make it a true thing of beauty. Sweet!

^^^ I agree with Simon except JZ doesn't do the editing for BHOD so lay off the poor guy! :dan:
I really do love your work Cody, wish I had enough money for a DSLR to get some of that footage. They really kick a video cameras butt when it comes to colors, time lapse, and other creative work. I know how much time it takes to edit something like that, so I really appreciate you sharing it with us. And the music picks were top notch as well!! Great taste!

    Thanks bud!

    Couple responses..

I have more time on my hands than JZ.

Virginia > Illinois in all arenas except the number of big bucks.

About the patience, I probably have more time on my hands than you do too, mucho time to ones self helps with a project like this.

    Equipment doesn't tell a story!

Hopefully there will be more videos of this quality in the future :)
