I am having a heck of a time deciding if I want a Back-style quiver or Quick-detach model for my recurve. Help me out here guys. Should I just get both and decide or can you guys maybe save me some headache down the road?

I am toooooo anal about stuff like this.:deer:

I tried a bow quiver, didn't like it! I found out I like having more arrows than just 3 or 4 with just broadheads on them! I picked up the Safari Tuff Arrowmaster! This is an amazing quiver. I can carry 5 arrows with broadheads and 4 or 5 more with judos and blunts for small gaming and stumpin! It goes over your shoulder and rides sorta like a side quiver. You pull the arrow out of the middle, it also has a pocket that great! Reaching for an arrow is like reaching for your wallet!

How are the broadheads and other arrows kept seperate in it BHF? I saw it on Tradgang, but I am leary of dropping that kind of coin on something I do not fully understand. Wish I could see one up close and personal first. Can you maybe send me some(or post some) photos of the interior/close-ups?

    Thanks

They aren't really kept separate but some guys haverigged something up to do so! I don't feel the need. The broadheads push down in the foam and stay put! I keep my juds/blunts to the back when I'm deer hunting! I've got my camera packed up for my hunt tomorrow, I try and get some pics tomorrow and post em up over the weekend! If you do a search on tradgang pow wow there is like a 20+ page thread on how folks like their arrowmaster. Also has a lot of pics and how they tricked it out! If you don't like it, you can sell it in the classifieds in a matter of minutes and only be out like 10 bucks! I have a feeling your going to like it if you get your hands on one!

One thing about a bow quiver Is that It's always with In reach If you need an arrow. I'll never hunt without one but that's just me. One other thing to It's one less thing you've got to haul around If you do have a bow quiver. Having a bow quiver has also helped me shoot better because of the weight of the quiver (kinda like a stabilizer on a compound- added weight). It's all up to you though, whatever feels right go with It.

At first I tried hip & back quivers. Always got in the way. So i settled on a small bow quiver and I'm not looking back. (for now)

The G.Fred Asbell quiver holds 7 arrows. As you can see from the picture it can be worn several ways.

The Delta quiver also the aka Fred Bear quiver is the same thing but screws onto your bows inserts. I have this quiver and it is the best quiver I have ever owned and I've had many. I don't shoot/hunt with a quiver on my bows and this one goes on and off really simple.

For roving and stump shooting I don't think you can beat a back quiver. I have a Wyandotte.

The Delta Is one awesome quiver! My dad used one for years on his Big Horn Take Down recurve and loved It. I'd use a Delta too but my recurve doesn't have the tapped holes needed for the Delta.

    Schultzy,
Check out the link I put in for Delta. They have many different mounting options now, including a velcro 2 point mount for longbows. 3 Rivers sells the inserts if you wanted to install them. The G.Fred quiver is a Delta with a sling. I made a sling for mine if I want to use it that way.

Thanks for the links BHF. I was wondering while looking at all the pics, is there a flap/cover for the arrow retrieval opening? Just curious as I would maybe at times like that part to be covered.

Nope, no cover for it, I was going to make something up with some bucksuede and velcro. Just never got around to it and not that necessary!
