Hey fellow hunters, just got back into hunting havn't hunted since 90's. Did some bow hunting last year with a pretty good guy i met at cabelas. Long story short wasn't all that impressed, he kinda used me as a flush dog, i figured that out real quick. I'm going hunting with him again this year but wanna keep my options open if anyone is interested in taking on a new partner. I'm pretty layed back just wanna have a good time and put some meat in the freezer. I live in snohomish county WA but will travel, will also do out of state hunting no problem.

For what it's worth, I started hunting with my dad and BIL. That quickly turned into hunting any time that I can, even if no one goes with me. Over half of my hunts, I am by myself. But I must say, I do like hunting with others that I know in the woods with me. Walkie Talkies were a great invention lol.

I understand it can be difficult finding people to hunt with when you're getting back into it. Of the six years I've hunted, I've lived in three different regions spread across two states. I've never had more than a year to start scouting an area let alone try to make friends or just hunting partners.

One of the quickest ways to get around people who enjoy the same thing you do is to get involved in organizations that support your interests. Unfortunately, I've found that most of the people in those groups are not interested in befriending you. I've probably only hunted with a couple of people from those organizations.

A better way that I've found is to go to local archery shops and trade shows and just be as social as you can. Not only will you have the opportunity to be around people who are interested in what you are, but more than likely, they will be more likely be active in that area as well.

Good luck to you, if you're ever in the Minnesota area, shoot me a pm.

I am doing a solo hunt this year. Gonna do a stalk hunt for Mule Deer in a remote part of Arizona. I am pretty stoked about it.

Nice! Yeah i don't mind going by myself BUT there are some unsavery characters in the woods in washington sometimes. I have my CWP but i'd like to have a little backup to confirm my story just incase something stupid goes down, lots of dope growers in them there hills.

I've never been to Washington but it is on my to-do list. I would love to have a trip and see WA, OR, ID, and some more of Montana. I was in Yellowstone a couple of years ago and I love the Rockies. One lifetime goal of mine is to be in every state at sometime in my life. I think I am at like 30 right now. Most of the missing states are in the NE and NW along with Alaska and Hawaii. I'll get there someday.

If you make it to Mid-MO, I can put you in a tree somewhere with a good chance of seeing a deer or two, maybe not a big buck but a deer
    nonetheless.

Cool little town Snohomish. Was there in 08. Must be great hunting around there.
Do a walla walla wine and bow hunt:-)

    Good advise above.
I'd do what your doing and find a bunch of buddy's to hunt with. Hopefully you'll end up with one you get along with great.

I hunt with some cool guys but I don't always agree with them on some issues so I got another lease with some other guys and I now Have options.

I'd also looks for more than one hunting buddy. Try to find
