Hey guys I know it's very beneficial to work and develop your property to better you odds for the most successful hunts. But what are your tactics or strategies for hunting a new property to have a successful first season

I try to locate likely bedding and food sources that first year by scouting and aerial photos...then I will hang stands on commonly traveled areas or somewhere where I can get in undetected without spooking deer and see a long ways with binocs into these bedding areas or food sources so you can see which trails they are using...I use these stands just as much as a scouting or observation stand vs an actual hunting stand. The when you observe activity or deer that you want to shoot and can pattern them...figure out how to hang a stand closer to them and go in some rainy day and hang a stand...hunt it on the right wind and you chances of success will go way up vs just diving right in the first year. Also if you locate the does and hang stands to intercept them, then when the rut is on the bucks will find them. After the season is over get back out there and really scout closer into their sanctuaries, look for the bucks beds and rubs so that you are better prepared for next year.
