    I do try to get drawn for public land hunts that Texas has, which is a big luck of the draw. I used to find the land owners and go talk to them. I prefer a face to face so they can actually see who I am but I do understand it kinda puts them on the spot. Other than that if I have any friends that happen to throw out an invite.

    Face to face is good. I have had some luck with a phone call discussing things first then following up with a letter. Be persistent but not a pain. Good luck you will get what your after eventually.

    I no here in Alabama where I'm from leases go from $10-$15 per acre and most of it is timber company leases.Another leasing website you could check would be base camp leasing
