All depends on the area, quality of deer herd, the landowner. You could get lucky and pay little too nothing or pay a pretty penny. Check out some lease websites too get a better idea of what I'm talking about.
Its all going to depend on the area in which your looking.....interesting enough in our area most are going for $10/acre...but that is a bargain compared to the midwest.
Here in IL I've paid anywhere from $15 to $50/acre. It all depends on the location, how much is tillable versus wooded, and how much the landowner wants to charge. I would say $15 to $25/acre seems to be about average for what we're seeing right now.
Most leases in Georgia are in the 8-12 dollar an acre range, but recently on our state boards guys are getting in the 25 dollar range for some prime areas.
this might sound dumb but is that a month? and do you only pay during hunting season or all year round
I don't know about our area but, I do know a friend of mine has been paying $500.00 a year to be a member of a hunting club that has around 500 acres to hunt. Last I recall he said there were 10 members. Not sure if they plant food plots or anything like that. I do know they are able to use it year round and he rides his ATV on it some durring the off season.
