Hunting land in general is really hard to attain. Good old fashioned door knocking never hurts. Check local papers or craigslist adds for spots, you'll see sometimes that's the wives are mad deer are destroying plants and want someone to come and harvest a few. Also leasing agencies aren't that bad an idea either. You can find small affordable tracts of land for yourself or if you have a few buddies you can jump on a larger piece and spread out.
I liked the idea infarct I would love to try with my daughter also as she also shows some keen interest in the similar field. In fact, I had searched some online web which states that eyeglasses and sunscreen lotion are the important things to carry as during the summer the UV rays affect the skin especially during hunting.
"Go to hell," the last guy I spoke to when door knocking said when I asked if I could hunt on his land. It ended up that we had a friendly conversation. He explained that poachers were encroaching on his land and ruining his hunting spots. I think that was near Woodstock, IL. It's really hard in northern Illinois....
